My philosophy...

Hi, I'm Athena and I'm 52 years old. I have been a massage therapist for over 20 years, and I've always loved working on the the face--it is a wonderful doorway to address the body wholistically, as well as offer a treatment for those who for whatever reason do not want a traditional massage.

I truly believe we are meant to age with vitality and a radiant glow.  But, when we have chronic pain and life stressors, it is hard to achieve this, and even harder to feel happy and vibrant.  This can reflect in our faces, with the tissue forming habitual patterns that can make us look sad, dull, and tight.  I have been there, and many of my clients have been there, too.

When I started releasing the tissue in my face and body, I recovered not only vibrancy in the look and feel of my physical face, but I also released years of stress and emotional loss.  It was a healing journey, one that continues to lead me to more openess and joy, which reflects in my face and energy.

I am committed to helping women heal and rediscover their inner and outer glow.  It is a journey that many womend have postponed and self-sacrificed for the sake of others.

I invite you to take your journey with me.

(As far as my qualifications go, I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and a certified Block Therapy Instructor and Facial Flow practitioner. I have trained in multiple facial modalities including Dien Chan Facial Reflexology, Gua Sha with the Komorebi Institute, and Ayurvedic Facial Marma with Vasant Lad.)

Block Therapy Fascia Decompression

Releases stuck tissue and provides rapid pain relief.

This is what I used to get myself out of years of chronic pain.  Slow, deep compressions are applied to the face, neck, and shoulders to help stuck, dehydrated tissue release and rehyrdate, reducing pain and restoring your glow.

Polished Stone Gua Sha

Ecology in Motion Gua Sha

Based on Chinese Medecine to balance energy in the entire body.

Using a healing stone, the face, neck, and shoulders are gently "scraped" to stimulate energy lines and pathways called meridians.  This helps to balance energy in the entire body and helps stimulate the body's self-healing process.

Acupressure

Ayurvedic and Vietnamese Facial Techniques

Stimulates healing and integration on a deep energetic level.

Based on the ancient practices of  IndianAyurveda and Vietnamese Dien Chan,  tools and techniques are used to elicit nervous system relaxtion and harmonization of body, mind, and heart.  The result is feeling deeply integrated and in harmony with yourself and life.
